HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR OPINIONS HEARD?
Because of Lincoln Neighborhood Alliance's position that all of Lincoln’s elected officials represent us, LNA is sponsoring our annual “Talk to Your Elected Official” event.
This is a FREE, public event on Saturday, 30 January 2010 from 2 - 4 at Calvert Rec Center, 4500 Stockwell street (College View area). Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.
This Event is structured so that you will be able to present your concerns in a one on one or face to face setting with the officials of your choice and, of equal importance, that official will be able to present his or her opinions to you. LNA feels this will result in a better understanding among all individuals and will make for a stronger Lincoln.
LNA is inviting Lincoln's Mayor, City Council Persons, County Commissioners, LPS School Board members and Lincoln's State Senators for us to individually talk and listen to.
LNA strongly feels that if more voters participated in the government process as some of you have done, our elected officials will be empowered to do a better job of representing ALL of Lincoln’s taxpayers and not just the powerful and vocal minority.
Lincoln Neighborhood Alliance recognizes local individuals, organizations or businesses that have made significant positive impacts on the neighborhoods of Lincoln. This recognition is in the form of the “NEIGHBORHOOD HERO AWARD” which is awarded at this event. If you would like to nominate a worthy party please submit the application found on our website “www.lincolnneighborhoods.org” to: LNA Chairman at neb31340@windstream.net
